# AI Assured

> AI Assured is an independent third-party assurance programme for small and medium-sized companies that build or use AI. It publishes a governance framework, runs an evidence-led assessment, and issues a public, revocable trust certificate.

## About the standard

AI Assured is a private assurance programme, not an accredited certification body. It is not accredited under ISO/IEC 17021 or ISO/IEC 17065 by UKAS, ANAB, RvA or any IAF signatory, and it does not issue ISO/IEC 42001 certificates, EU AI Act conformity assessments, FCA SS1/23 attestations, FDA SaMD clearances or NYC Local Law 144 bias-audit reports. Its framework maps to ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, the EU AI Act, OECD AI Principles and sector regimes such as FCA SS1/23 and NYC Local Law 144, so buyers can read the certificate as evidence of documented, reviewed and independently assessed AI governance. Where a statutory deliverable is required, AI Assured introduces a vetted regulated partner who signs it.
